Thank you so much for your interest in Twist by Chef Mitzi Jackson -Robinson. I truly appreciate you considering us for your corporate event, cooking class, or private chef needs. The mission statement for our brand is to provide our clients with the best possible food experience, while offering great customer service. We want you to "Eat to Win!" All menus that are prepared for any client, rather the event is a small intimate gathering or a large corporate affair will be treated equally. Each event is unique to the client and their specific needs.Our goal is to consult with every client to get an idea of what their vision is for the event, discuss individual budget , and make the vision come to life within the food.
Our Chef, Chef Mitzi Jackson Robinson (Chef MJ) is experienced in all spectrums of Culinary Arts. She trained at Johnson and Wales University and has been recognized as one of the best private chefs for professional athletes as well as the person wanting to "eat to win". Chef MJ is a former Executive Chef at the University of Pennsylvania. She currently has her own health and nutrition column in Philadelphia Rowhome Magazine and was one of the Competing Chefs on the Food Networks hit TV show, Guys Grocery Games and Food Network’s Chopped. She has also appeared on ABC and WGN networks as well. Chef MJ has also worked with several of the top professional athletes in the country to for fill their private chef and nutrition needs. Her NBA and NFL clients include Kemba Walker, Brent Celek, Malcolm Jenkins, Thomas Davis Sr., Clinton Portis and Brandon Graham , just to name a few. Her specialties include French, Vegan, and Southern cuisine as well as meals that are health conscious for the fit client. She prides herself in staying in shape, but also tailoring individual meals for her clients so that they can maintain a healthy lifestyle as well. She also loves taking different types of cuisines and fusing them together to make creations that excite the palette. Her approach to culinary is to eat well while eating well. Aside from her passion and love for cooking, she loves spending time with family and working with underprivileged families to promote affordable healthy living. She currently works with several non-profits to assist in coping mechanisms for depression through cooking classes for teens. Her future plans in the culinary world include writing a book and additional television appearances.
