Burger Time! Take your BBQ to the next level with Chef MJ’s Blended Burgers
The recipe for my curry black been and refried bean blended burger. Pictured Below.
What you will need?
Makes 4 burgers
2 cans of black beans
2 cans of refried beans
1 green pepper
1 red pepper
1 Spanish onion
Bread crumbs beans
Brioche or potato Bun
For the curry sauce
One can of coconut milk
1/2 cup flour
Make your burger
1.Place your black beans and refried beans in the oven and bake on 350 for 15 minutes.
2.small dice all of your peppers and onions, and sauté in olive oil.
3. Take a fork and smash the beans, then add in the sautéed peppers and onions, salt, pepper, cumin, and curry.
4. Add the egg and bread crumbs. Bind together and place on the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
5. Pan sear in a hot pan or on the grill and finish off on the oven on 350 for 10 minutes.
Make your sauce
1. Sauté your garlic and your spices about 2 minutes on low heat. Add in your flour and sauté with the butter for an additional 3 minutes. Add your coconut milk and additional curry if needed. As your sauce thickens, add a little chicken stock as needed to thin. Flavor to taste.
Toast your bun in the oven. Place spinach or mixed greens on the bottom of bun. Add your blended burger and top with the curry sauce, carrots, and black beans.
